Thank you for visiting my page!
I am a PhD researcher at Nottingham Trent University studying the rehabilitation practices of European Hedgehogs and their post release behaviour. I am investigating the rehabilitation practices across their natural range and the post release behaviour of juveniles that have been overwintered in care in the UK.
My passion for the natural world led me to undertake an undergraduate degree in Ecology at the University of Brighton, during this time I was fortunate enough to volunteer for a research project studying European hedgehogs. This sparked my interest in hedgehogs, and I went on to study their overwinter release and factors influencing their presence in Brighton and Hove as part completion of my MRes degree. I then went on to work as an ecological consultant for a number of years, but hedgehogs were never too far from my mind, and I went on to start my PhD research in 2020. My PhD journey started at Keele University, before transferring over to Nottingham Trent University.
I am also very lucky to have the following supervisors helping me with this research: Prof. Dawn Scott, Dr Sophie Lund Rasmussen, Dr Antonio Uzal and Dr Dmitry Kishkinev.
